Infrared Thermal Camera Applied to OLED Panel Detection

2020-06-30 15:32

OLED display screen is the use of organic spontaneous screens made of photodiode, because have spontaneously with mechanical and electrical excitation light diode at the same time, do not need to back light, high contrast, thin thickness, wide Angle, fast response speed, can be used for deflection panel, using temperature range, and the advantages of structure and process is relatively simple, is considered to be the next generation of emerging application of flat panel display technology. However, temperature is a major obstacle to the development of OLED. When the temperature exceeds 50℃ or higher, its life decay rate will increase exponentially. Therefore, temperature control is very important for the life of OLED.

1. Difficulties of OLED technology

1). For lighting, OLED brightness is usually at 3000 nits. The higher the brightness, the higher the current density is, the fever will get worse;

2). To ensure uniform heating, the current density of each part must be the same. The larger the screen is, the more electrode is set,the higher the requirement of the meter.

2. The necessity of infrared thermal camera for OLED panel detection

The technical difficulties of OLED are all related to temperature, which requires the detection of temperature value and temperature distribution. There are currently two solutions: First, graphite grease and other thermal conductive materials heat dissipation; The second is to change the current density by changing the panel electrode. Both methods need to know the temperature distribution of OLED panel in advance, proving that there is no high-temperature part and the temperature distribution is uniform. Therefore, it is the most effective and accurate to judge the whole process by infrared thermal camera.

3. How to detect by infrared thermal camera?

The surface of OLED panel is detected by infrared thermal camera, and the temperature of the thermal image is analyzed by supporting infrared analysis software to observe whether the temperature distribution is uniform and find out the parts with high temperature. In addition, the infrared analysis software can also set the alarm value of high temperature, once the maximum temperature can be issued an alarm, easy to use.
