1. Project Background
China's railway development is very rapid, has become the largest railway country in Asia. The railway system is an important national transportation system, and its daily stable operation is related to the normal operation of national production and life. With the increase of railway passenger flow and running frequency, it is very important to detect the temperature of the catenary and hub of the train.
2. Project Overview
With the increase of train speed, the temperature of the hub will also rise correspondingly. When the temperature of the hub is above 40℃ higher than the ambient temperature, it must be replaced, otherwise it will damage the bearing strength and the performance of the brake pad, and there are hidden dangers. In a project in Dongguan, Guangdong Province, infrared thermal camera is required to detect the temperature of the bottom wheel hub of a moving train. It is required to measure the temperature accurately and the picture is free from shadow. If abnormal temperature is found, the railway staff should be warned in time and the safety risks should be removed through maintenance.
3. Infrared Thermal Device Installation and Selection
As the train is in a fast motion state, the infrared thermal camera needs to be fixed on the track, so high-speed infrared thermal camera needs to be used. For long-term outdoor use, protective cover shall be installed and germanium glass shall be equipped at the front end. According to the calculation of this project, 4mm infrared lens should be installed, the field Angle is 97°×71°, and the opening at the front end of the shield is 90mm. Considering that the track will be violently shaking when the train passes by, 100*8mm germanium sheet should be installed at the front end of the shield. Installation diagram is as follows:
4. System Characteristics
Adopting the infrared detection system of the train wheel hub, the temperature of the wheel hub can be detected in real time and the alarm signal can be sent according to the pre-set warning value, so that the watchman can take corresponding measures in time to ensure the safe operation of the train. It has the following advantages:
1) It does not affect the train transportation: the temperature measurement is non-contact and does not affect the normal operation of the train.
2) Alarm visualization: infrared thermal image is provided so that the personnel on duty can quickly locate the alarm position and deal with it.
3) Automatic warning: In the detection process, if abnormal temperature of the train wheel hub is found, it will automatically alarm. The alarm information includes text information and sound information, which will prompt the specific alarm position information of the train staff for troubleshooting.
4) High detection accuracy: The sampling accuracy of the infrared thermal imager adopted is higher than that of the portable instrument, which is convenient to timely judge the specific hot spots of the train wheel hub, thus gaining precious time for accurate judgment and taking corresponding measures.
5) Short thermal response time: the time constant is only 2ms, the imaging time is short, and the image has no drag.
The system has the advantages of high reliability and real-time performance: using this system, the natural environment will not have any impact, no matter wind and rain, or low temperature and high temperature can realize uninterrupted automatic monitoring.
